ABOUT US
Genxsis step team is a Nonprofit Organization located in the South Suburbs of Chicago.
Our vision stamped with the title of "Genesis" meaning "Origin" derived from a knowledge that is crystal clear. Our mission is to create a space where young men and women can challenge themselves as individuals that will shift their perspectives, propel their maturation, and boost their self-confidence and sense of self. However, the results of our mission will reach further than the individualism that comes with being a GenXsis stepper. Together, our young people will be constructively molded into strong characters, and leaders with our 'make it happen' mentality; this will forge change within many communities.
While doing this they will also have a chance to create lifelong relationships, and time to understand that love is structure, abundant and unconditional. This is what we do and this is who WE are!

Coaching Staff
Head Coach and Founder of GenXsis Step Team. He has been
immersed and trained in multiple forms of movement and
expression (dance, step etc.) for 10+ years! He has won
multiple regional and national level titles throughout his years
of performance. Captained/Coached state-recognized teams
within the Midwest Region for the past 6 years.
Shavon Parker is our Head of Administration, responsible for managing
and overseeing all business aspects of the team. Her role encompasses
the full spectrum of the team's management, from overseeing day-to-day
administrative tasks to making strategic decisions that support GenXsis'
objectives and long-term growth. With her strong leadership, Shavon
ensures that all functions within the team are aligned, efficient, and
effective. Shavon’s expertise shapes an inclusive environment rooted in
diversity, equity, and inclusion, setting clear goals and strategies that
drive the ongoing growth and success of our program.
Dr. Suzon Pulliam is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority,
Incorporated. Her experiences include 25+ years of coaching various
Step Teams within the South Suburban and Chicagoland areas, as
well as 17+ years of coaching both Cheer and Pom Teams. She has
lead her teams to multiple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place championship
placements on Local, Regional, and National levels. Her philosophy
is “ With God, ALL things are possible!”
